3 WordPress Plugins that Provide AMP Support

Accelerated Mobile Pages are the latest innovation in optimizing sites for mobile use. Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) are an open-source framework that was developed to make mobile web browsing quicker and more lightweight. AMP is essentially just a stripped-down, very basic version of a site that’s built using AMP-approved HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. AMP uses its own version of HTML where only certain tags are allowed to be used. They also require all styling to be done inline (no external stylesheets = faster load time) and an optimized JavaScript library.

In early 2016, Google began including accelerated mobile pages in their search results, and have announced plans to increased the mobile-friendly ranking boost in May, developers have been scrambling to make sure their sites support AMP. Luckily, there are already a few great WordPress plugins out there that dynamically generate AMP content from your site — no extra coding or styling required.
